Events ~ Announcements

Tombstone Amnesty is seeking members of the NUNES family who would be interested in attending a rededication of the tombstone of Manuel NUNES,
whose tombstone was stolen many years ago and taken to Sebastopol. The people who found the tombstone have turned it over to Tombstone Amnesty
for return to the Forever Fernwood Cemetery in Marin County. A ceremony of return and celebration is being planned for an unspecified date in the future.
Having NUNES family members in attendance would be a big plus.

Tombstone Amnesty is designed to return lost or stolen tombstones to their rightful cemetery. We will accept, no questions asked, tombstones that someone has at
their home or wherever. If the possessor knows where the tombstone came from, so much the better. If not, we will figure it out and return the tombstone.

Tombstone Amnesty is not a police organization. It is not our intention to go around questioning people as to the origin of the tombstone that happens to be in their
back yard. We don't want people ratting on their neighbors. If someone has a tombstone and wants to keep it, fine. Tombstone Amnesty exists to take in unwanted
tombstones, so they're not lost or destroyed forever.

If you know of a tombstone in northern California that wants to go home, please contact Tombstone Amnesty.
